Toyota has created the Trail Teams Special Edition FJ Cruiser, with an exclusive Iceberg White exterior, black bumpers and side mirrors, a locking rear differential, the praised A-TRAC traction control system, plus legendary Bilstein® shock absorbers. And to make it all official, you'll find a TRD exhaust system, matte black TRD alloy wheels and a distinctive TRD shift knob. As Toyota says; “Happy trails!” We would expect the Trail Teams Special Edition to give some hefty competition to the Jeep Wrangler. Here’s the details! Details include custom 16-inch TRD alloy wheels and exhaust system, Cyclone air cleaner, differential lock and A-TRAC, rock rails, all-weather floor mats, skid plates and front auxiliary lights. The matte black wheels and trim pieces mesh smoothly to complete the look of the FJ.The interior includes full accoutrements for off-roading and cruising, including a dash-mounted compass, sleek silver-accented dash and shift knob, auxiliary jack and six buttons mounted below the console to control everything from the subwoofer to traction control."It's safe to say that the vehicle will cost more than a fully loaded FJ," said Toyota spokesman Curt McAllister. Toyota says a fully loaded 2008 FJ Cruiser with four-wheel drive costs $24,820, including a $685 destination charge. So expect to pay in the neighborhood of $25,000 for this special edition. Toyota is planning a limited production of approximately 3,200. And if you have an FJ Cruiser with MUD ON IT or in SERIOUS USE send us a photo with a description, we’ll post it on HOT TRUCK Send to; info@hottruck.com |
